Ode To Thy Silhouette

Ode To Thy Silhouette

Alas! into this threshold of hate I've entered,

Into the unseen sight that's bitter

My fault, my judgment, I fail to live;

Oh! Whence my heart will you forgive.

Forgotten and cast into this realm alone,

Into this tragedy I’ve fallen; no one told,

I guess my efforts were all that’s left,

I guess my call, my loneliness crept.

I gaze, I ponder, I wonder and dream,

Her presence, in vain, I shout and I scream;

Where thy art? My angel of hope,

Where art thou? No longer can I cope.

Here and there, I passed by lanes,

I crawled and hurled, I stumbled with shame;

In search of what was once ours;

The question is, ”Am I still hers?”

Wherever you are, whatever you do,

Whatever you say, I know it’s you;

We all fall down, we try to get up,

We forgive, forget and make things up.

For Love knows no selfish act,

It does not want to lose contact;

It replenishes, it waits and sees beyond,

I long to see, once again, the love of yours.

On my knees I am, for God’s will and mercy,

Sometimes, I think he does not want to see,

How much I’m ready, willing and committed,

So lost and scared, I must admit.

Thoughts of confusion and passion,

With thy vision is mistaken,

It haunts, it shivers or something like that,

For sure, now she’ll never come back.

Another light from the dark has risen,

Another ash from the flame is beginning,

To hope, to share, to once again dare to tread,

For all of this, I need not fret.

Cause along came a bright and strong figure:

From beyond the forgotten place I treasure,

She wishes, she sees, she dares to please,

Two hearts that’s wrapped in hopes and dreams.

For a moment I thought, it was all but an illusion,

Cause no soul could ever bear such passion;

So strong, so innocent, so full of life,

And therefore, her happiness I long to strife.

Her eyes could see through the darkest of day:

Her voice could fill the emptiness, so to say;

Her touch could warm my chilling thoughts;

Her innocence and beauty, I’ve always fought.

If there’s a doubt ever in my mind,

Is someone like her, I will never find;

My only fear is losing her,

Yes, indeed, I’m happy my dear.

I take this time to say what’s next,

Forgive my past, forgive me I beg;

Prolonging the silence is not the way,

In your heart, in my dreams, we shall forever stay.
