Ode to the Hardworking Beggar

Oh my dear beggar,
You are such a hardworking soul on this earth.
I see you on the footpath, working day and night 
Your hard work brings you peace and quiet happiness.

I know how much you struggle on the road,
Many people give you money in your hand.
But when they give you money without respect, it hurts me 
Yet you never complain, you face the rain, the sun, and the cold.

You only wish to work hard to fill your stomach,
After your day’s work, you return home,
Spend time with your wife and children in the evening,
Then eat your dinner and sleep peacefully.

Your clothes are torn, but your heart is pure,
Your hands are rough, but your soul is kind.
You smile even when life gives you pain,
Because you believe tomorrow will be fine.

Each morning you rise before the dawn,
Carrying your hope in your tired eyes.
The city passes without noticing you,
But you still greet the world with silent pride.

When I see you sitting by the roadside,
Counting the few coins of your day,
I feel the world should bow to your spirit —
For your courage lights the poorest way.

Oh beggar, you struggle for your family’s basic needs,
You work tirelessly so your children can go to school.
Though strangers speak harshly on the footpath,
You listen silently, with patience in your heart.

I know your life is hard,
But still, you continue your labor on this earth.
One day, dear beggar, your life will shine with happiness 
And peace will bloom forever in your heart.
