A Fishing Boat

A Fishing Boat

6.8K

The Ocean seems so far away,

At dawn or dusk, either way.

Hidden in mist, its waves splash,

Yet so silent when they crash.

Unseen, unheard breathes this vast,

Yet no image does it cast.

Shells and sand at the shore,

Perhaps would tell a litte more?

A fishing boat tried to sail,

In those unknown, pranks of gail.

Soon it lost all its way,

Dark and marooned when the storm did sway.

Counted now only for moments to close,

The fatal leap that it chose.

A loaded heart, leaped in pain,

All the journey seemed so vain!

The Ocean then mirrored its light,

Faint and low but at sight.

Followed the boat, ceaseless like a blind,

To reach the shore was all in its mind.
