ODE TO THE JOURNEY OF SHEPHERD ON FIELD

Ode to the Journey of Shepherd on Field

Oh shepherd, you start waking in the early morning,
Taking your breakfast at home.
Then you are ready to go with your cattle,
Carrying some lunch for the day.

You work so hard with your cattle.
This journey becomes more difficult in the field,
When you walk along the road with your herd.
You sing a song, the bells softly ring on your journey.

The cattle wander freely across the open field,
While you sit patiently till the evening.
During that time, you craft or think on the field,
Sometimes, someone comes to talk with you there.

Many people gather with you in the field,
Sharing conversations that brighten your day.
Oh shepherd, you are a hardworking man —
You care for your cattle, your land, and your family.

When the sun sets, you return home with your herd,
And finally rest after the long day’s toil.
You sit for dinner and soon go to sleep,
Ready again for the next day’s journey.

Your life continues day by day,
Oh shepherd, your hard work, passion, and wisdom
Will never fade away.

Your strength feeds the world,
Filling the stomachs of humankind.
Oh shepherd, I salute your courage and labor 
Your journey gives us joy and inspiration.

For you are the great shepherd of this earth,
Sent by God to nurture life and nature.

“Oh shepherd, may God bless you with peace and strength
For your life’s noble journey.”
