Oasis
Oasis
The heart asked me
In this longingness of pain
To create an oasis of 'being home'.
Thirst choked with intoxicating breathlessness.
The mind asked me,
To surrender to this blank;
Taking nowhere shape and creating an oasis
Of forever death but living as a ghostly woman.
Tied between the two,
Creating the rift in two polar worlds
This oasis now hypnotized me to come
To another present (past) town,
Where known eyes stood to see me
In their lively glory.
As I, an oasis,
Within the desert,
Heat burnt me.
But I stood there,
Unwillingly willing
To desert I,
Though live unhappily happy,
Each as their own.
I am an oasis now.
Yes, I am an oasis now.
