With my heart in a tumult

I rushed for just a glimpse

The future crumpling in front of me

I met your eyes and you smiled

A smile that burnt all eternity

I sat forlorn, waiting your footsteps

In the darkness a silent sigh

Lost in my thoughts I failed to hear

As you tip toed and kissed me from behind

A kiss that took my breath away

The last chance,a stolen hour

Repressed, yearning for togetherness

Strangers we seemed walking together

Until I left you behind and caught your eye

A look that said everything that we didn't dare

Those were the only moments you were really mine

Today we try to erase that distance
