New Old Love
New Old Love
Both of them went slowly,
On the tarred road which stood lonely.
Holding each other’s hand they went,
Talking about the time they together spent.
Later, on a tree stump, they sat,
Suddenly they noticed a cat.
“I thought it will not hurt after years,
Still, its cry is painful for my ear.”
The old man placed his hand on her shoulder,
Replied her, getting closer.
“Everything will get more value,
When you lose it, I know you knew.”
She rested her head on his shoulders,
Realizing that each day she is growing older.
“But there is something which worth the same,
Its value was the same from the day it came,
We don’t even have a child, it does hurt me,
The kitten we had, we can no longer see.
But you always made me forget those pain,
Gifting happiness, not putting my life in vain. “
