My son …. You are my dream come true… .

My son …. You are my dream come true… .

The day that dawned on Oct the 4th,

Shone bright and was all blue,

When the year 2004 showed its worth,

Till half past twelve there was no clue,

Then the tension in the air rose,

The little bundle,

quarter past 12 his time chose,

Came to our world,

Without any clothes (hahaha),

Bitterly crying and weeping,

Wet and blue.

Then there was exultation and joy,

For our new found toy,

Congratulations rung in the air

With the arrival of our little boy.

Then he grew,

Little by little,

For life’s little odds,

He did not settle,

He wanted the good,

Since his boyhood,

By the very birthday first,

He walked to impress,

He grew quite a charmer,

Using smile as his armor,

With his two tiny hands,

He stole my heart,

With those tiny little feet,

He took a dart.

Then every year he grew,

Inch after inch,

What a pleasure it was to view,

My boy’s charm..

Yet everyday he showed me,

Something really fresh and new,

That was my biggest alarm,

Of the notoriously ambushing teens,

Then he landed right into them,

And turned quite mean,

Would he mellow or slow?

By no means,

He rather caught speed,

Maybe of the hour it was a need,

Now was the time,

When to himself he smiled,

That crooked wicked smile.

Then one day,

I noticed changes in his tone,

One moment he spit sugar, ,

His words were pretty eager

The next word was sour,

My tension of his attitude,

Grew every hour,

I thought I would explode,

At that speed he continuously rode,

Then…

He learnt of the BEAUTIES,

And forgot all duties,

His phone was his world,

In there…

bounties of the world,

 in front of him unfurled.

Everyday was new,

Life which was straight,

Suddenly went askew,

Some momentsI was enthralled,

 And then nextI was mauled,

By my boys temperament,

To his changing self,

I really couldn’t attend,

My head now a new hurt felt,

Only he had the liberty to cause,

And believe me he certainly did not pause,

The speed of his gibbering grew and grew,

This side to him to me was new,

Yet now i'm getting accustomed,

But I'll take time to adjust,

Yet I understood its a passing phase,

It would ebb with the growing age,

Now when the year is seventeen,

He is not so pathetically mean,

He is really sweet and carin,g

Mind you...

Has not lost the daring,

New friends come and go,

To some no mercy he shows,

They are his bosom buddies,

Inseparable as they are,

Their mischief one can see from afar,

I think i forgot to mention,

Now girls also catch the attention,

Dates are set,

And here I can bet,

The bent head sweet smile is a proof,

The demeanor he portrays is not so aloof,

The head is weaving dreams,

Of a new morrow,

That is not afar,

Where there will be no sorrow.
