They sway the moods,

With the finger-licking foods,

On Holy the gujiya we prepare, 

On Diwali the house we repair,

Dussehra brings victory,

Its story is embedded in history, 

Christmas carols gladden the heart,

Id and sawaiyan can never part,

Gurupurab brings blessings manifold,

The glories of gurus, 

On this day we unfold,

Every festival has a story to tell,

With them on the past we dwell,

Every person feels the joy,

It is time to feel euphoric and enjoy,

It's a time to be merry,

Halloween for sure is scary,

Visiting the dolled up markets,

Buying new clothes is fun,

From expending money, 

We cannot run.

Sometimes,

They make big holes in pockets,

Especially on diwali bursting rockets,

Yet, they bind one and all,

Sitting together yester days we recall,

We are so many yet one, 

The diversity in race, religion and region

Brings joy, colour and fun.
