My Confession
My Confession
Pretend that this is a fairy tale
A story about a singing rosebud
Pretend that it is me
That it could sing
That you could understand it
That its song is only meant for you
And that it's only you who could understand it
How would you react?
Would you even listen?
Would you use your power to understand it?
Or would you watch as it withers and gets blown by the wind?
If I were the rosebud
I would sing to you
I would sing unheard melodies
Unheard melodies are always sweeter
Heard melodies are ordinary
But unheard melodies are rare
For they are only sang
In the midst of twilight
When the heart fights the mind
When love and hate collide
When the words bottle up inside
And their seems no other way
But to let it all out like a stream
The dawn will break
The sunshine will conquer the night
Love is mightier than hate
My words will flow out
And reach you like the rosebud falls down the waterfall -
Fast, sudden, and free
