Moonlight

It cannot be true,

The distance between us.

When I feel disconsolate,

I look at you,

Because, I know in the end it’s just you and me,

And the undying reality between us. 

It feels like you know everything,

You know the pain which I never confessed to you.

you see the tears that I never let go

You opened your arms,

As I was lying there on my bed,

Questioning my existence while thousand other thoughts were running in my mind.

You know I cannot relate to this world,

The complexity of this world is far behind my understanding.

I saw your moonlight coming through my window,

I ran to see you. 

You were looking at me, from miles away. 

I saw someone I love

For whom my heart’s been crying,

now that you are here for me.

Everything feels light,

Just you, me and the moonlight
