Monsoons = Nostalgia!

Monsoons = Nostalgia!

As the tiny droplets embrace the earth,

Fierce enough to vanquish the hearth.

I reminisce my days at school,

When wearing bright coloured raincoats made us feel cool!

The muddy puddles seemed to me like a boiling furnace,

As I prevented stepping to protect my uniform's surface.

As the winds speeded, I tugged on my raincoat and adjusted my hood,

While doubling the look with an umbrella for good.

It was the time when umbrellas were more of a 'luxurious' commodity,

The use of it by its colour used to be the proclivity.

Walking to school was a lovely phase,

As I struggled to keep the umbrella in place.

All my efforts would go in vain,

As I reached the school only to find my uniform drenched in the rain!
