Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall...
Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall...
Mirror, mirror, on the wall
Who is she who stands so tall
Brave and happy and strong she seems
Through her eyes, wonder gleams
Oh! Old mirror, whom do you hold?
Looks like me but I'm not as bold
"I am you, my dear," the reflection said
"A year ago, when you hadn't lost all that you had"
Why are you here, if I may ask?
She said, "To show you what all has passed,
You gave up everything and you failed
To keep me alive as your mind ailed
You broke your promise, to keep me happy
You took my life and made it scrappy
What happened to me, the one who believed?
How could you give up what I had achieved?"
I smiled at how much hate she had
Everything I am is making you sad
The way you are has made me such
I wouldnt be this, had you not cared so much
You let people in, you held them close
You let them hurt you, whenever they chose
You let things bother you,
Considering the past, this change was overdue..
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall," another voice said
"take them to me, years ahead!"
Another me stood there, older and wiser
"Take me to be your adviser,
I am you, in the years to come
Leaving past behind, focus on what to become
Struggle and failure are a part of life
They will become the reason you arise
Accept and live, instead of worrying
Every moment will lead to something amazing
I am you, after all the falls
Have faith in yourself, and always stand tall"
