Message In The Uniqueness

We pray to so many gods in this world,

So many religions we believe in,

We follow rituals and laws that

Abide by the religions we follow,

Abide by our gods we believe in,

Every one of these gods

Are unique to each other

In their own way,

Unique in their approach,

Unique in their methods of teaching,

Unique in their beliefs of the world

That makes us whole,

There are so many differences we argue,

Some even make the effort to force it in any way,

People don't understand that

Beliefs can't be forced,

It has to grow in its own way,

We fight over a region

Based on its religious complex,

Trying to make it part of the majority

Making the minorities become

The victims of destruction

The wrong way,

We all may have religious beliefs,

Beliefs that may seem like an identity,

Beliefs that may seem different

From the others in many ways,

Often these beliefs are

Misinterpreted by the people in power,

Misconstrued to make political gains,

Why don't we understand that

Our beliefs in gods we follow

Doesn't categorize people to feel pain?

Why don't we understand

The beauty of this diversity?

When the message

Amongst all the uniqueness

Is the same...
