Memory Unpacked
Memory Unpacked
On a Sunday evening, Rishi drove his motorcycle to a nearby park which to a surprise looked deserted in an otherwise packed avatar. He parked his motorcycle a few yards away from the gate and treaded his way into the Park interspersed with plants and trees. It seemed as if the lonely white bench was waving at him to get his company. He took a few paces to the bench and then pulled out a napkin from his pocket to brush off the dust that threatened to make the bench look ugly. He took a deep breath before occupying the bench which quickly clung to him with coldness. A nightingale perched on the branch of a tree that overhung his head composed melodious music which perked up his ears. He wondered why the bird is not given a chance to compose music in the movies. He felt the bird's music would be the best remedy to cease the onslaught of stress and pain. The beautiful ambience manufactured by his solitude was a testament to his joy and peace. He decided to juxtapose his painful past life with the present one. Spirituality had become an indispensable part of his life ever since he got enlightened after cluttering his vulnerable mind to a saturation point. He never believed he would get a new lease of life following the incessant onslaught of nasty thoughts that had been the main source of his misery. His face quickly generated a smile thanking the almighty who in some avatar played a vital role in his transformation. A green leaf danced its way on him as if to quietly tell him that it finally got separated from the company of the giant tree.
Those were the days when Rishi hadn't learnt the art of controlling his crazy mind which left no stones unturned to spring up nasty thoughts that wreaked havoc in his life. When he woke up early in the morning, he was not getting any warm comfortable feeling rather was worrying about the unseen future. He had rendered a licence to a demon named 'Anxiety' to make its way into its mind. The ruthless 'Anxiety' enjoyed its stay in his mind. It took the data of the past from his memory and combined it with imagination to create painful thoughts that disturbed him every single day. It worked in cahoots with his memory and imagination to ensure the coveted peace and joy never find their roots in his brain. At that time he reminisced that he was spiritually bankrupt. He wondered if he had killed the Lord of anxiety in the previous life which had manifested in an invisible form in the present life to avenge the wrongs done to it. His hapless mind had no answer to this act of vengeance. The demon forces had swathed his mind with anxious thoughts to ensure it becomes impenetrable so that it can persuade his brain to renounce the peace and joy. The cliched statement made by society that spirituality is not for younger ones it is only for older ones kept lingering in his mind to provide all evidence needed to stay away from spirituality. Some random men who never knew about him passed ugly comments as if they knew about his brain pattern. He had always worried about others' perceptions of him which never paved a peaceful path for him but rather prepared a terrible path ridden with thorns. The earful from others and the anxiety force served as a double whammy for him. He always wore a stoic face amidst the pandemonium raging inside his mind. He recounted those painful days when he sat in the corner of the house and shed tears for no apparent reason courtesy of his corrupted imagination. Those forgettable moments when his mind was on the brink of paranoia by the virtue of heightened anxiety flashed past his eyes. One final day when his mind proposed the idea of suicide, he visited a spiritual place as the last act of survival and the activities performed over there was an eye opener for him. He started believing that there was a powerful force that can aid you in your tough times so whatever happens is for a reason, take it with a pinch of salt and move on. Wrought your mind into a beautiful creator who churns out inventions, not a destroyer who renders you hapless. Thereafter spirituality played an instrumental role primarily to save his mind from the evil acts of negative energies.
Meditation is the hallmark of spirituality
Nasty imagination is the trademark of anxiety
Don't get fettered by the evil forces
Penetrate your mind with positive forces
Breach the rendezvous carried by negativity
Manifest the energy churned by positivity
Weeds of thoughts land you in debts
Spiritual force regulates your heartbeats
You don't have the license to change the past
But has the key to unlocking the present
You are given a chance
In this wild chase
To stop and face the storm
Or run and suffer like a worm
Open the closed door of your brain
And let the positivity come like a rain
To wink out all the pain
And allow you to register a big win
The hegemony of the demon force ended to put a full stop to the terrible epoch and the rise of spiritual forces began a new epoch filled with experiences which would always be cherishable. Using the ingredients of Yoga and meditation, he is now able to understand himself better and also is the only proprietor of his mind. Following an epic battle with conman anxiety, his mind came out victorious. The bleak past evaporated into dust. There is no cloud of anxiety overhanging his mind to dupe him. Those useless incredible thoughts are forbidden to snort in his mind thanks to the formulas generated by a spirituality which he uses to guard his mind. He can now prolong his idyll by welcoming spiritual energies. He indeed foiled the conspiracy hatched by evil forces to prolong his pain by letting it ebb from his life thanks to his pivoted mindset. Negative energies never tried to disenfranchise him from being happy because they lost the privilege to subjugate his mind owing to the splendid effects of spirituality.
Even the epic Bhagavadgita says "It is better to live your own life imperfectly than to live someone else's life perfectly." These words carried a profound meaning which always resonated in his heart to provide a sense of assurance that there was nothing wrong with him. You can only update your software and you have no business in someone else's software. So, stop cribbing and whining about the popularity or the brilliance of other software. He now piggybacks on spirituality which is not only his saviour but also the main reason for his resuscitated peace and copious joy which he enjoys abundantly. Even the ajar negative thoughts can't gloat and tingle him because they will be nipped in the bud if they get aroused thanks to the metamorphoses into a spiritual force.
Rishi thought not to rake up the past again but sometimes it is needed to take pride in our transformation. A nudge from behind interrupted his solitary musings to jolt him back to reality. His facial expression changed to laughter upon seeing his old friend who had a wide grin on his face as if he received some laughter therapy. They spent some time in deep conversation before returning to their respective residence. The daytime subsided which was subsequently replaced by night which commemorated its appearance by dotting the sky with glittering stars.
If repulsive anxiety has turned your mind into an arid desert, please ingratiate spirituality which is not puffed up with conceit but replenished with peace which brings you a new lease of life filled with utmost satisfaction. Those who are gnawed by anxiety and who are grappling with nasty thoughts should take a dose of spirituality which jolts you back to the peaceful reality instead of letting you stay and suffer in your manufactured imaginary world. Spirituality emphasises the importance of reinforcing your inner faculties and using them as leverage to live a satisfactory life. Your genuflection to spirituality curbs your agony by picking you out of the rabbit's hole and saving you from the persecution of evil forces. It's not about expounding the ineffable spirituality but it is about inculcating the right ethics which can go a long way to make our life worth living not surviving. If you have an intractable mind, the wayward evil forces will assail you; resorting to remonstrations or importunities will not work because they become your mind's custodian. Okay! I will stop lecturing about philosophy and let you ruminate on what you hanker the most.
