Maybe I shall write a poem

Maybe I shall write a poem...

On some lovely beautiful day...

Etching transience in a mayhem

Of thought adrift, a soul astray.

From not knowing what words to choose,

To lying in wait of fantasy;

Maybe somewhere a storm set loose

Will carry me to Ecstacy!

The sun trickling through gleaming grass,

Down from leaves; I, wading my way;

Robins cooing away on brass;

The soul gropes on for such a day!

Bright white cottons scuttling across

A brilliant permanent blue vault;

Rainbows scatter along the moss,

When butterflies do somersault!

A pleasant cool air whispering

To me the sounds of silence, and

In its cozy blanket wrapping,

Bearing with it sweet smell of land!

May nature's hand bless me this night,

And bring at ease my soul it may;

May be then a poem I'll write...

On some lovely beautiful day...!
