Magician’s Words

Magician’s Words

Fear my words;

Do you hear me?

I write about people who make me feel. You fear it’s you who I write on paper. But my child, that’s the price flies pay for flying too close to the fire. The risk of being burnt but could be the warmth that comes with excitement and a roller coaster of adrenaline rush.

If you make me feel, you could be on the pages I bleed into. Or should I say, scream to or turn to. It’s therapeutic. It’s scenic. It’s down to Earth, classic.

I don’t believe in drinking my sorrows down but I believe in chasing them with broomstick till they fear. I don’t believe in addressing every insecurity or every issue, but in staying in denial till they forget my existence. I don’t believe in finding a better match but in bettering my catch. I don’t believe in a lot but you changed me, managed me and I’m afraid, you aren’t here to see it through to the full advantage.

Maybe it’s better this way, interacting with the imaginary you on paper; maybe it’s better this way, my version of poison keeping me alive and kicking; maybe it’s better this way, alcohol in my blood with time and things to write before dawn. Maybe it’s for better you left before I could pick out a wedding gown.
