Loving Mother Of Mine
Loving Mother Of Mine

Why travel to Hollywood studios,
When there's a superhero in your own home?
God has created human beings,
With fascinating beauty like no other,
But East or West, clearly the best,
Is your own affectionate mother!
'Mamma, Mother, Mummy, Mom...’
The first words uttered after you were born!
It didn't matter whether a girl or boy,
She rejoiced with you, her bundle of joy!
You realize she bore much silent pain,
To nurture new life with glee,
She struggled from her womb till her resting tomb,
Nostalgic memories for thee!
Perpetual smiles, merciful eyes,
She'd adore every word you'd say,
You would hug her and laugh for endless hours,
Not wanting to drift away...
With her wrinkled brow, she recalls now,
Family time at 'Home Sweet Home',
Soothing your cries, with gentle lullabies
She rhymed melody to every poem!
She'll face harsh storms, get drenched with rain
To comfort and soothe your agonizing pain,
Stay up long ni
ghts to cure your cold,
She'll even loan her last bangles of gold...
With little money that's carried, she'll ensure you're married
To let love's new chapter unfold...
Your misdeeds wet her tears; heightening her fears,
By moving on: a fresh start to find,
Doesn't your conscience ever prick you, dear,
To leave your old mother behind?
Silently she'll mourn- an old woman all alone:
With a cherished past that lingers,
For sunset years, praying for loving dears,
She'll be counting on trembling fingers...
Through windows she'll be peeping, she hears violins weeping,
Society regards her no more,
Life's weather is growing colder, her snowy hair is growing older
Why abandon her joy and go...?
Unattended phone, shivering face
Even the moon pities her, for she's hard to replace...
Return to her now, restore her lost pleasure
What's she's done for you, is way beyond measure...
My sparkles and glitters and rainbows of shine,
I'm deeply indebted to you, mother of mine!
