Love

I heard people saying: ‘Love at first sight.’

Does it resemble ‘the string and the kite?’ 

Or can we call it as a never ending debate of wrong or right? 

I feel love must be felt, 

After gazing at you, I often melt.

Why ought I to cease my emotions due to societal norms? 

I don’t wish to stuck and stagnate, my love has forms! 

My love isn’t confined upto that girl I had a crush, 

My love has extended to my family and friends and also the nature which is beautiful and lush! 

I can’t limit my love only till her, 

I knew my feelings would surpass and transcend beyond her. 

My love’s like the smoothness of birds’ feathers and my cat’s fur. 

Although the birds’ feathers faint, and cat’s fur grows old; 

My love story can’t be so limited and can’t be so easily told. 

 Love is a deep emotion which can’t be expressed or measured. 

It has neither been in chains nor can be treasured!
