Love song

At this odd hour,

I realize it's valentine's today.

It is. It was.

Whatever.

But I haven't had time

to pen down anything special.

I haven't written any haiku, tanka,

rhyme, or tercet.

I haven't dedicated any quotes, 

nor posted any pictures 

or shared our snippets

in those online communities. 

It was an exhausting day at work. 

Deadlines. Urgent ASAP calls. 

Same old stuff. 

Usual travails. 

But there was a 1min 11sec window 

in this otherwise monotonous routine. 

Through one phone call, 

you made me laugh,

and forget the humdrum around. 

This is how love is. 

It doesn't have to be elaborate, 

like sonnets. 

It is that hasty moment 

stolen from busy schedules.

It is celebrated daily.
