Reduced to romance.

Sex.

Elevated to a required pleasure.

What if I don't want either?

To people who want both.

But they are not a necessity.

So don't force it on someone wanting neither?

Such people exist.

Confused everyday about why others want it.

And they don't.

Why are sex and romance necessary?

Feelings.

We try to decipher them everyday

To identify romance. And sexual pleasure.

And we come up short.

Blame ourselves being born wrong.

It is not wrong.

I can love my friends and family and not need romance.

I can live happily without doing the horizontal dance

Why are the meanings so rigid?

Aromantic

There's enough of us to have shared experiences

Asexual

There's enough if us who question sexual attraction's validity

Then, to invalidate us, who are you?
