Lonely Night
Lonely Night
She walked alone on a dark night
In the callow light of the moon and stars shining bright
She kicked the pebbles by the road
Everything seemed futile and she was bored
She ambled to mend her heart which was not broken
She swallowed her fears and frustration
She wasn’t vexed because of any particular reason
She was irked at her messed-up mind, her delusions
She wondered trying to figure out the answers, of the questions she didn’t knew
Feeling pathetic, just to the next day, she was trying to make through
Feeling unwanted and without any purpose
She was the clown in the life’s circus.
She traveled not that far
In the mundane light observing her scars
She was just angry at everything without a proper cause
Many things bothered her, just because!
Stress of tomorrow and tensions of today
It was a long night and it was here to stay
She sighed with regret in annoyance
There was no sign of joyance
And then suddenly nothing happened
Just the flickering street-lamp made the road blackened
This isn’t a tale of inspiration and hope, alright
Just a piqued girl strolling on a lonely night!
