Lockdown! Unforgettable Times

Hungry and sleepless nights are usual for many,

Not only in India but worldwide;

A few cannot meet their family,

But the world walks alongside…

We are lucky to have abodes,

The Internet and knowledge too;

We sleep and eat with peace,

Without thinking about others feeling blue.

I admire the policemen and doctors,

At the highest risk they fight;

Even garbage collectors and nurses,

Participate with all their might.

We could help them by staying home,

So that no one would be to blame;

I request to stay home from the bottom of my heart,

Whether a common man or man of fame.

 

In all of this, I still see this light,

A small light of hope;

If we can fight fiends,

Corona is what we can easily cope with.

Corona may be a devil,

But we are leaders of truth;

We can and will win this fight,

And certainly, overcome this time of ruth…
