Like A Full On Rainstorm
Like A Full On Rainstorm
Thunder crashes, rain pours down
I am stuck in the here and now
In my window I sit and see
All the tears the sky left me
I hear its anger, feel the pain
But even he will start over again
Gusts of wind like whips and chains
Made from all the ghosts and names
Hit me with what I wish to forget
All those people whose tears I’ve shed
But the lightning shards whispers to me
“Listen to my tears, it’ll set you free.”
I close my eyes and see the rain
Hear it hitting my windowpane
My head rests against the ice-cold glass
And I remember that every storm will pass
