Life’s Hardships
Life’s Hardships
Yet another day
Feels so dull,
No sight of a bright ray
Feels like everything is void or null.
I see the plight
On his face,
I see him fight
With life, at maximum pace.
His face be so pale,
He’s trying hard to express and speak,
But all his attempts to explain, fail
And he becomes weak.
Very weak he looks;
His appetite almost nil,
Can’t even read his prayer books,
Can’t even talk- he’s ill.
So helpless it feels,
Every day with more than a dozen medicines- he deals.
His eyes have tears;
He has some fears.
Fears that everyone bears
In the old age years.
But all I can do is to pray,
Oh Lord, bless him every day!
