Life By The Window Seat

As the journey begins, I plug in the headphones into my ear,

Leaving aside stress, worries, and fear.

Hopping on to my philosophical sojourns,

I start pondering over relationships and different colors of life.

The nostalgic mind wants to traverse back to the old days,

Reminding me of lovely memories in different ways.

The motion reminds me of the impermanence of the universe,

Nothing to stay forever and nothing to reverse.

The mind wanders as if it has left me completely,

Mingling of emotions and realities moulds to a different experience strangely.

Every erupted thought is uninterrupted,

Without being judged or questioned.

This is the time to just be,

Relax being with self and think carefree.

Restoring energy for my son,

Who is waiting for me to reach home!

Emotional well-being is equally important as physical well-being,

It is more than diet, exercise and sleep to stay healthy.

Through this journey, the need of the hour is to connect to the inner self,

Every day appreciate and nurture ourselves.

Life by the window seat,

Brings solace to my soul, I wish my journey to repeat.

In between of life which is full of to-do list all the time,

The commute gives me my only much wanted "me" time.
