Life – A Mystery

Life has been a great teacher

I have learnt

To question when I feel

The answers are wrong.

People do not like this

But I stand up when

My right to demand

Answers are questioned.

I do not lie

But when truth is staggering

I give a helping hand.

I used to expect from people

To come forward

Now I do everything

On my own.

The lessons have been bitter

But the transformation

Has been phenomenal.

I was timid, unsure

Dependent upon near and dear ones.

Now standing in front of the mirror

I see a confident woman

Who is sure

She can create a new world

Anytime she wants

On her own
