Letting Go

I wish I was still a star,

A star in the beautiful night sky,

I look up to see one shining,

So brightly, 

And I think of how happy,

You looked, 

Without me. 

Last we talked, 

I blew you off,

It was just too hard to talk to you, 

reminding myself, 

over and over again, 

that we're not back together again, 

We're just 

Friends. 

I know I should 

Let go. 

I know I should 

Move on. 

But seeing how you've 

Gone along 

With your life 

As if your world hadn't

been crashing, 

was too hard to accept. 

That was the hardest part of trying 

to let you go.
