Navratri was there

With all its flavour & spice

Leela was also very happy

She asked for new clothes & crackers

But she found her father mute

And saw tears in his eyes!

Naveen got fired from work a few days back

He was running on loans from well-wishers & friends

He wanted to see Leela joyful & elated

But it was the money that left him deserted

When Leela came to know about her father’s situation

She prayed to Maa Durga for help & attention

One day a letter came to her house

She was granted a scholarship for better results

In academics at school

That night, the whole family was overjoyed

And celebrated Navratri to heart’s content !!

Leela thanked Maa Durga for her kindness

As she was dressed in new clothes & was lighting candles

That was the best Navratri of her life

She later narrated it to everyone when she grew up.
