Know Thyself
Know Thyself
I am the knowledge, I am the knower,
I am the abode, I am the wanderer;
I am the seeker, I am the ‘sought’,
I am the quencher, I am the drought;
I am the beginning, I am the end,
I am the castle, I am the sand;
I am the dust, I am the seed,
I am the abandoned, I am the greed.
It’s me, who is the silence,
And it’s me who is the blast;
It starts with my first desire,
And it would end with my last;
And I will rise again and again,
In this chaos, in this mundane;
For I am the no beginning, I am the no end.
I am the path I am the goal,
I am the narrative, I am the role;
Where ever I see I find only me,
Even in the darkest time
When my shadow abandons me,
That time too I find only me
Only me, only me, just ‘I AM’;
I can be happy, I can be sad,
I can be conscious, I can be mad;
It’s only me, only me, just ‘I AM’.
