Knots (Bonds)

Knots (Bonds)

It's hard to hop over the knots, harder to tie them,

Hard to realize the presence of knots, harder to deny them!

It's a queer dilemma, whether to nourish the knots of now, or those of forever,

Hard to be knotted for life with scowls of insecurities, harder to settle for never!

Hard to be knotted, harder to break the knots with the photos on the memory wall,

Hard to count the number of knots you're fastened to, harder to forget it all!

Hard to let two lives be bound together,

Then harder to keep it light as a feather!

Difficult to compromise into stepping back, painful to break the knots of fear of rejections,

Terrifying to knot your emotions with others', then heart-wrenching to let them go without objections!

Impossible to break the knots and let your feelings rain, tiring to let the mind be burdened and overcast,

A real torture to choose between knots with a hopeful shining future or a happy golden past!

Some imperfect yet beautiful, some perfect but held with force,

Some abruptly-bound yet sweet to maintain, some years old but hoarse.

They serve a purpose, some helping us rise, some preventing us fall,

Knots come in varieties, some heavy as a solid cube, some light as a ball!

No objections to the fact that life is as complex as a maze,

Knots can be confusing, but put efforts, don't let them erase!

Don't try to smoothen them, we're all flawed like the knots, let them be weak or stout,

Don't try to make it flawless, when unsure, just listen to your heart and help yourself out!!
