Just Like That...
Just Like That...

As the chilly breeze goes by
Just like that, you had to die
I feel betrayed, and so I deny
Living in fiction where you open your closed eyes
Rage desperately dominates my mind
To conceal my aching soul, who is still estranged, for you, to find
And as drenched in storms of hopelessness I sigh
Just like that, you had to die
What linger are your memories
Several decades, maybe centuries
And till the time I am alive, to strike a deal with Almighty I’ll always try <
/p>
But what’s the point now anyways, just like that you had to die
As the smile of sadness sedately hollows me from within, the happiness fades away
I still remember you in every moment of every single day
And this twisted feeling in my gut, as my eyes, go numb and dry
And just like that, you had to die
Seeing my reflection in your photo, your eyes still full of light
The dwindling echoes of your voice I still hear, telling me to ‘hang in there tight.’
Finally, I embrace truth which I don’t want to accept
Just like that, you had to die, the fact, I no longer can reject!
