Journey
Journey
Backwaters flowing into the city
For the devouring eyes a sight pretty
Silhouette of the sailor boat against the backdrop of the sunset
Mind absorbed in a stillness, words beget
Sky in a nightly embrace star winking at the sight
City lights shining bright gone is the twilight
Homely birds in their perch fallen silent
From the egg to the birds' tree has seen it all, a free home with no rent
Bridges across the backwaters crisscrossing the city
To and to in their daily commute it offers mobility
Train on track speeding along for many destinations has to be reached
Unknowing either destiny or destination my mind wanders detached.
