It Takes Patience

          

When as a child I gained consciousness

I realised that people are so restless

So to avoid this lethal commonness

I decided to accommodate patience

Later teenage came with a lot of difference

of which some were difficult to embrace

But they were made easy by patience 

which was static in its place

Now as I stand on the threshold of adulthood

preparing myself to earn a livelihood

I do remind myself forbearance

which is an ageless source of meliorating performance

Intrinsically in every circumstance

I happily wait for my chance

Thus by having patience alongside

I leisurely face the challenges of life
