Hope flutters like a wayward kite

Lost in the turbulence of nature

Getting carried away by force, not will

Struggling against the thread of life with all its might.

Solace is a treasure sought by most

Yet received by fortunate few

The inner struggle continues deep within

And solutions to be found are lost.

The drive to fight seems like a lost cause

The power of will is flagging

Yet the stubbornness not to give up

Withholds the demise and draws the decline to a pause.
