Kamala Harris she is a  lotus in full bloom,

Kamala Harris will now remove

all our gloom,

In purple, with pearls, she looked resplendent,

As she took the oath of Vice President.

The smile and bearing says it all,

Humble yet she stands tall,

The message in her eyes is very clear,

The beginning of a new era starts, leave behind your fear.

President Biden has done all of us proud,

 For his running mate stands     out in a crowd,

Together they will create a   new  begining that will shed;

The world of all its fear and  hatred,

History always gives us great people, when we need them,

Not ordinary people, but  priceless gem.

The way will not be easy, it is full of thorns,

So will be the head that wears these crowns',

With great power comes great responsibility,

But that is where lies the real ability,

But with great hope, great love,

they will lead the way,

In to a future where we shall follow them every day.

In to a new world new era, new age,

A new dawn in history's page.
