If Angels Were On Earth

If angels were on earth, they would be kind, patient and selfless. They would abound with grace and with love for others creating peace, never conflict.

If angels were on earth, they would certainly love people and embrace family. They would be the author of great childhood memories and make all who entered their presence feel safe and warm.

If angels were on earth, they would serve others until every person in their presence had their fill before taking care of their own needs. They would bring families together over meals fit only for kings created by the humblest ingredients.

If angels were on earth, they would gather their families together on special occasions and crowd them into small spaces where they couldn’t help but feel the closeness. Family would know they were valued the because anywhere they looked, they could see framed pictures of themselves and of other loved ones prominently displayed.

If angels were on earth, they would be the glue that held families together and they would show nothing but kindness even in the most difficult circumstances. They would never complain about the trials and struggles that came their way, yet they would always be concerned about yours.

If angels were on earth, even they would leave this place someday to be in the presence of God the Father. They would leave behind a last wish that the love of the Father be carried on in us. They would call us to serve others and ensure the least among us are taken care of.

My Grandmother, an angel to many, has left this place to be in God’s presence and for that we are grateful. She will be forever remembered and though we will carry on as if a piece of our hear is missing, the truth is, our heart is bigger because she touched it.
