I was green today...

But not with envy or jealousy...

But rather I saw a new beginning...

I felt like the things that kept me tied too long...

We're finally over...

I was green today...

And everywhere around me the greenness of the world...

Looked even more vivid...

I was happy to be a part of this world...

Of renewal, rebirth...

I was green today...

Because I could let go of the things that tied me with heavy chains...

To be green doesn't have much to do...

With dressing in green...

Or celebrating nature on a specific day...

But much more...

Green in my eyes represents spring and joy...

And renewal...

There are many shades of green...

Some more proeminent...

Some lighter...

Or even darker...

Then the rest...

But I was green today...

Like no one else...

I stood with the crowd...

But I was different...

Because I was carrying a new light and hope...

The rest were wearing different colours...

But I was wearing green...
