I Was Bound

I Was Bound

I was bound,

Not for the silence required

Not for the needs around

Not for their leisure to be acquired

I was bound,

And I don’t think I wanted it

Was it quite essential for me?

To lose myself when I wanted it

I returned unanswered,

The voice of strife found

It's a way in me to be heard

But failed, for I was bound
