I Once Dreamt
I Once Dreamt
How could I say what I have done?
How could I say what I have done?
I have killed my ambitions and goals,
As my loved ones handed me one.
Keeping those dreams,
Somewhere in the corner of my heart,
I have commenced a new journey,
Right off the mark.
One needs to sacrifice something, sometime,
It’s okay if I did.
At least I would be earning a dime,
Along the route of my parents’ wish.
Tearing the page of dreams, from the book of my life,
I have moved forward.
What could be worse?
When the most beautiful paper of my life has been shattered.
At least they are happy now,
For whatever I did.
Their smile is what matters,
Over the things, I ONCE DREAMT.
