Abstract Tragedy Children

I Miss School

I Miss School

1 min
180

My pals, my mates,

The open school gates.

The bet, a race.

I pick up the pace.

The agony, the pain,

"Just a sprain."

The alarm, the bus,

Glad there's no rush.

The snacks, the cartoons,

Lazy afternoons.

The pity, the visitors,

Many sympathisers.

Teachers, my books,

The incomplete notebooks.

Homeworks, projects,

The many subjects.

Practice, soccer ground,

The missed tournament.

Sports, field trips,

I bitterly weep.

Friends, the laughter,

I miss the banter.

Alone, in despair,

I impatiently wait.

The school,

I miss school.
