I Love You- Yes, I Do!

"I love you"- so magical, mystical, and simple words to say.

Yet, had made her life more dismal with each passing day.

She was married for over more than a decade,

And felt love and romance from her life had got fade.

Neither any gifts, surprises, flowers, or chocolates,

Nor any unplanned trips or candlelit dinner dates.

Her friends kept uploading romantic pictures and videos of exciting trips.

But her hubby never uttered any romantic dialogue from his lips.

All he did was to make coffee for her in the morning,

Vitamin tablets, fresh fruit, and groceries for her he would bring.

Instead of pampering, kept telling her to eat right, exercise, and take rest.

Surely, husbands who write poetry and sing songs are the best!

Enough was enough!!! She had made up her mind,

Leaving him behind, a better life she had to find.

Declining his offer of going for a walk the next day,

She decided that a visit to a lawyer for divorce she must pay.

With this firm belief, she climbed up the stairs to her room.

Had never imagined that terrible fall that might have caused her doom.

How he came running, held her in his arms, and took care of her!!!

I Stayed awoke the whole night as the temperature was getting colder.

She didn't realize when she slept on the warm cushion of his shoulder.

She woke up in the morning and saw him so near,

She sensed all his love and realized how much he was dear!

She felt ashamed of herself at the thought of leaving him!

Only she couldn’t see his love- though it was filled to the brim!

Romance does not lie in words and needn’t be explained to anyone.

Yes!!!! She finally realized that he was truly her One and ONLY one!!!!

It is our life and our own romance; we have full control over it.

Let us revive, cherish, and nurture it to make our lives lit!!!!

The grass always appears greener on the other side,

Our love and relations are special- they are our identity and pride!!
