I Listen To People

When people talk, listen completely,

Pay attention curiously,

With an intention to understand deeply

And to give them a reply.

Listening has great power

All it needs is an empathetic ear,

Heed with tolerance,

Go through with patience,

Speak with a loving sense.

Eyes can be closed

To avoid perceiving the unwanted.

The mouth can be kept shut

To avoid unnecessary chaos.

But can't close ears

Whether we like it or not

We've to listen.

Like only the desired ones,

Unlike the undesired ones.
