I Have No Clue

I Have No Clue

3 mins

When I was all alone

I broke my big brother’s phone,

I just touched it once:

But I am such a careless dunce.

Oh! What do I do?

I have no clue.

It slipped and crashed

And now it’s totally smashed;

There was a thundering sound.

Thank goodness! He was not around.

Should I look for some glue?

Oh what do I do?

The screen is blank, the light is out;

I am in deep trouble without doubt,

Maybe I could just slip away;

To Bobby’s house for the entire day

Oh! What do I do?

I have no clue.

Oh! Mother would be so sad

To know her son, had been bad;

Not because I broke the phone,

But I showed no courage to own.

Oh! What do I do?

I have no clue.

Mother walked in with a sombre look,

Followed by our sneaky cook;

“At mischief again”, taunted the cook

“What have you done? Just take a look”.

Oh what do I do?

I have no clue.

I burst into tears

Giving in to all my fears;

“Sorry Mom, I‘ll never do it again”

Sobbing, I accepted all the blame.

Oh what do I do?

I have no clue.

Mother said no angry word,

That really seemed absurd;

She said she was proud of me;

As I accepted responsibility.

Now I know what to do,

When I think I have no clue.
