I Dream Of You
I Dream Of You
It's the season of fall,
With hues draping the world.
The shikara takes us
Far away from the land
To an endless journey
Like those of my wishes for us.
I see us in the
Midsummer breeze,
Where the gusts of wind
Fuse our thoughts to be one;
Draining the ounces of gloom.
The eyes of yours,
Like that of ale,
Intoxicate the soul of mine;
And the self wanders
For the tavern to reside.
The frequent smiles
Are like cures to the heart;
Dust and ash I desire to turn,
To heal in thy embrace
With stars glittering
Over the lone soul.
Warbling the birds,
Fluttering the leaves
Together creating a melody;
They rise with the death of day.
I see the fog whitening the world
And there you, my dear,
Like the realities of life
Fade away smiling.
