I Don't Like Rains

I Don't Like Rains

They fall on my window,

Tiny droplets of rain,

And remind me of tragedies,

Sorrow, hurt, and a lot of pain.

They resonate with tears,

Which my eyes shed long ago,

And today we are here,

When all we need is to let things go.

The skin is drenched,

To the tiniest bit of its existence,

But the soul has been drained,

By the thunder and it's persistence.

With the sound of the storm,

Comes fear and insecurity,

Of repeating mistakes and losing out,

And a future obscured with uncertainty.

And for this reason, I keep telling you,

Rains aren't as beautiful as they sound,

They are among the days in which,

The darkest secrets of men are found.
