I am a woman!

To the mirror on the wall, 

Asked I, who I am, 

A daughter ! Gentle, caring, demanding,

Obeying parents, protecting their dignity, Is my duty, it replied;

Years later, I heard mirror's call, 

Same question, who I am, 

A wife! Gentle, caring, submitting, 

My desires, dignity till eternity, 

Is my duty, it scowled ;

Nosey mirror was from nearby mall, 

That questioned, who I am, 

A mother! Gentle, caring, protecting, 

My children, with lil' partiality, 

Is my duty, it barked; 

Ahh! Mirror was broken from ball, 

Yet again, who I am, 

A daughter, A wife or A mother, 

No! No! No! A girl ! A woman! 

Little naughty, little haughty ,

Having views on every topic, 

With thousands of dreams,

 Hundreds of desires, 

Pounds of tears of sorrow and laughter, 

Some centimeters of malicity, 

Some inches of darkness, 

Some metres of greed, 

Some kilometers of fear, 

And, tonnes of passion towards my goal, 

Yes! I am a woman, screed of being another human ,

Yes! I am a woman!
