Children

I Am A Child

I Am A Child

I love running between aisles

Leaping on stairs

Sliding on rails

Squishing mud with nails

Screaming in hall

Pulling a dog's tail

I love playing all while

I am a child

Who is pleasantly mild

But why does it appear to you as wild?

You see it as wrapped soiled clothes, not to touch upon

I see it as a bouncy bean bag to couch on

You see it as a savoury to eat

I see it as do-nut, which isn't sweet

You see it as a running tap to close

I see it as a mini fountain on a slope

You see it as a white wall, not to scribble on

I see it as my white canvas to colour on

You see it as an expensive piece to pass on

I see it as my toy, not to share on

You see it as TV kept clean

I see it as a blackboard to wet and clean

You see it as Number 9, Letter b, Letter d all time

I see it as Number 6, Letter d, Letter b all time

I can't see what you see

All I want is to see through my eyes for a little while

As I am a child only for a little while
