Hungry And Thirsty Nights
Hungry And Thirsty Nights
I remember, those nights, being a kid
I used to wake up crying for food.
And those too, when my Mommy
Woke me up to study before the exam.
Which arisen the thirst of reading
As I grew up, the hunger of numbers
Went on perpetuating, resulting
Awaken nights bit lengthier.
And how blessed I was, to witness
Dark nights blossoming a bud into a flower.
I also lived the night, the darkest.
Which didn't allow to rest my soul?
The nights when I had been scratching
My head- what and how it went wrong.
Where pearls of thousand tears,
Incessantly flowing, made me Thirsty-
In the discovery of my own identity.
Nights, when Breezes of the joy of success
were blowing, the Unbeaten voice of mine
Kept making noise in my drowsing mind.
I learned, darker the night,
Brighter the next day I have.
Historically, the nights have always proved
To be Triumphant over the Days.
