Horizon
Horizon
Far away from the land is the horizon,
And it lies about the sky and Earth's union.
It's just a deception of the nature,
And here we are flattering about this feature.
This horizon caught the captain's eye when he was old enough to admire it,
And later he was stupid enough to chase it.
He traveled halfway around the world chasing the horizon, for years
With his sailors aboard who were his only peers.
To delight his wanderlust, he traveled across the oceans and the land,
Resisting the wrath of the water, the snow, the hills and the sand.
Deep, deep down, he was very disappointed
Realizing that his wish to see the point where water and sky unite, will never be granted.
While celebrating an eve on the banks of the Mediterranean sea,
There happened an incident that he couldn't foresee.
From the horizon, there emerged a star,
Which he saw taking the form of a young woman,
As everyone else passed out, when he drifted off into a shock,
There wasn't anyone that he could reach out or summon.
When she came close, he began to feel happier and successful,
He felt that she was his ultimate goal, which was wonderful.
He named her 'horizon’ and gave her shelter in his ship.
Yet the promise he made to his peers, to travel across the entire world, he didn't skip.
But this time, his journey seemed to be different.
He was happy and everything he saw, he reckoned it to be elegant.
After his trip, everyone dispersed.
For him and his horizon the need for shelter emerged.
He dismantled the ship and used that wood to build a house,
Where they lived happily ever after where no problems rouse.
